Winter sports resort and summer mountain resort
Super Besse, modern resort, is situated between 1.350 and 1,850 m in altitude, on the South side of the Puy de Sancy, at 7 km above the village of Besse.
In Winter as in Summer, this mountain resort offers a fabulous playground, thanks to a multitude of sport and funny activities.
Here, the mountain is different : "the Alps are gothic, but Auvergne is Romanesque", has written Alexandre Vialatte.
In winter, the slide is gentle and panoramic on a downhill skiing domain with surprising roundness, or wild and contemplative on the Nordic area.
From Spring to Autumn, the discovery of the plateaux above the Lac Pavin and the grandiose panoramas in altitude, are as much perspective of wonder. The tonic activities are also at the meeting place : summer tobogganing, grass skiing, pedal boat or sailing on the Lac des Hermines…
