Resort information :
La Clusaz |
 |
Located in Haute Savoy, La Clusaz is the heart of the Aravis Mountains. The homeland of Guy Périllat, Edgar Grospiron and Régine Cavagnoud, it combines great skiing with the charm of a picturesque village. With the Aravis mountains as a backdrop, this resort in the nothern Alps benefits from the exquisite charm associated with mountain villages. Very easy access, La Clusaz is ideally situated being in close proximity to the A40 and A41 motorways, as well as Annecy railway station (which is served by high speed trains) and the international airport of Lyons and Geneva. Today La Clusaz has a ski area equipped with 55 ski-lifts, which is made more attractive by the pine forest. It is difficult to resist the call of the 132km of slopes of different levels which glide down the mountainside in a true « postcard » setting. They are divided amongst 5 distinctly different mountains which are perfectly linked to another, like five fingers on a hand. La Clusaz is connected in ten minutes by shuttle with Le Grand-Bornand and Saint-Jean de Sixt. The Aravis Massif resorts offer a total of 220 km of slopes and 96 ski lifts. |
